Brilliant Pink Iceberg Roses

Some nice photos that I took this week of the "Brilliant Pink" iceberg roses.  They and the other roses have a lot of nice new growth.

There are times it produces very light colored pink roses and other times a very dark pink.  So far it is doing well in the back yard along with the other roses.

We had some rain last week too.  Maybe more this week and it is nice to have your garden watered from above.

First Official Bouquet of 2018

I guess I can call this the first official bouquet of the 2018.  A little bit of everything from the garden.  The roses are starting to bloom.  The Penstemnon "Margarita BOP" that was planted last May is doing a beautiful job in the rose area.  I had to add a few sprigs of it.

I love the white pincushion flowers.  They are such a fun flower.
Purple container size pincushion flower along with a pink and white Iceberg rose.

It feels like spring to me.  Have a wonderful day and thank you for visiting my blog.

After The Rain

A rainy day yesterday and I thought I would take out my camera and play around with the "creative control mode" that has some neat effects.

I just love the buds on the pincushion flowers.

Having a nice quiet Sunday working on a small sewing project.  I hope to share soon.

Hello March and A Full Moon

Wow, a new month already.  In my little garden patch the pansies and nasturtiums are still looking pretty.  I think this is the first time I have had them do so well in my garden.  It may be due to us here having the perfect winter weather for them.    The colors just pop.

For us in Southern California we have been having some very chilly weather.  This week we had 39 degree mornings and the days have been in the high 60's to low 70's.  That is cold for this So Cal Girl. But it makes my spring garden last longer.  I hope it stay this way through spring.

Last night the moon was beautiful and bright.  It looked pretty full to me but according to the calendar, the moon should be at it fullest tonight.  If it rains tonight, we may not get to see it.  So I'm glad Hubby took the photos of it last night.

The Panasonic Lumix camera is one amazing camera.  I am so impressed with it.

Happy March!

Drying Roses and Lavender

I enjoy drying my roses.  Not all do well.  I have better luck with my mini roses and it seems that spring is the best time to get the perfect roses and rose buds for drying.

These are the JACute roses that I posted early this month.  I do use a floral spray.  It helps to preserve them for longer use.
These to jars that I decorated were from my Sumer garden back in 2014.

Dried lavender and roses.

It is nice to bring them out on those winter cold days as you wait for your spring and summer garden to start blooming.
At the moment here in Southern California we are having a late winter.  Suddenly we are having very cold weather.  Cool for us here in Southern California.

I hope to start and dry more of my roses this year.
